A map is a flat drawing of all or part of Earth’s
surface.
What are the parts of a map?
Maps contain lots of information. Most maps will
have the following things:
1- Map title : tells you what is being represented on
the map.
2- A compass Rose to indicate direction on the map.
3- Map key is a box that tells what the symbols on the map stand for.
What maps show?
Maps show details of
cities , landforms, lakes, rivers, mountains, physical features, political
features. ...etc. and also show where things and places are located.
