When Islam entered Sudan, the Muslim Arabs who immigrated to Sudan affected the indigenous population by transferring Islam to them. Most of them learned the Arabic language to learn about the new religion.
The original inhabitants are the inhabitants of ancient Kush, most of them from East Africa present, the Nuba tribes in the north, the Beja in the east, and the African Nile tribes in the center and south of the country
As a result of this different cultural and ethnic mixing, the Sudanese character emerged, African in terms of ethnicity and geographical origin, and Arab and Islamic in terms of language and belief.
The ways in which the Arabs entered Sudan
1- The Nile Road: It follows the course of the Nile, and the Arabs were not able to enter the Gezira region at that time because the Christian state of Alwa was in that region, so they circled around the island and reached the pastures of the White Nile. They also reached through the Nile to the Butana pastures and the Red Sea coast.
2- Al-Muqaddam Valley road to Kordofan region
3 - Angel Valley Road
4- A road from West Africa to Darfur
Through these roads, the Arabs spread throughout Sudan
